FREEDOM FORWARD* is our civic initiative designed to educate, motivate, and mobilize communities for the 2024 national election. This comprehensive campaign includes two call-to-action anthems composed by NEWorks CEO Nolan Williams, Jr., inspiring music videos, and multiple 30-60 second audio and video PSAs.
The campaign also includes a collaborative grassroots viral video initiative that leverages the power of TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram digital platforms to engage people nationwide with corresponding hashtags.
*FREEDOM FORWARD is a non-partisan project, not authorized by any candidate or political party.
Premiered in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in January 2024, this anthem is written from the perspective of three civil rights workers murdered by the Ku Klux Klan in 1964 during "Freedom Summer."
The song will be released featuring celebrity artists along with a fully animated video that portrays Andrew Goodman, James Chaney and Michael Schwerner returning to Mississippi 60 years after their untimely deaths. They are shocked to discover that human rights issues are still plaguing our nation and, accordingly, issue an urgent call for economic and social justice now!
This anthem features the words of historical voting rights icons spoken by celebrities Billie Jean King, Billy Porter, Chef Carla Hall, Christopher Jackson (from the original cast of HAMILTON), Hill Harper, Ebony Jo-Ann, and Ryan Jamaal Swain (F/X Network's POSE). It also highlights diverse American citizens gathered at iconic places across the country—from New York’s Times Square to Milwaukee’s Art Museum, and from the “Rocky” Steps in Philadelphia to the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles—all affirming their right to vote!
This award-winning video was released in 2020 and has garnered well over two million global hits. With this campaign, the song and video are refreshed and re-released through major media outlets.
